REFUND POLICY

Returns

You can revocate Fjordson products, that you’ve ordered in our online shop within 14 days after receiving the order. Inform us about your revocation by filling out the contact form here. Please send the products within 14 days to the following address:

Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since you received the order, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

You can find a model return form here. 

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

We can refuse repayment as long as we have not received the returned goods or until you have shown you have returned the goods, depending on which event occurs first.

We expect you to handle the order as well as the packaging with the utmost care during the first 14 days after delivery. If you want to return the goods as described above, you may only unpack or use them to the extend needed to assess whether or not you wishes to retain them. Returned goods may be tested, but not used. When returning the goods, you will also have to return all delivered accessories and – if reasonably possible – return the goods in their original condition and packaging as well as taking in account our instructions as listed below.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 14 days after approval.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at contact@fjordson.com.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at contact@fjordson.com.

Shipping
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

WARRANTY POLICY

Your Fjordson watch is guaranteed against all manufacturing defects for a period of 2 years from the date of its delivery. During the guarantee period the repair will be free of charge for labour and parts, if the technical service accepts the defective part to be a result of a manufacturing fault. This guarantee will be granted only with the guarantee card and the purchasing documents.

As far as possible and reasonable, you have the choice between repair or replacement. Only in case the repair or replacement is excessive, impossible or impossible within a reasonable time, you have the right to request a price reduction or the dissolution of the sales agreement.

If the defect manifests within 6 months after delivery, this is deemed to have already existed before delivery, unless we can prove otherwise. After 6 months you will have to prove that the defect was already present at the time of delivery.

The guarantee does not cover: requests for replacement or reimbursement; damage being a consequence of normal wear and tear or caused by mishandling, accidents or misuse due to non respect of instructions for use and maintenance; cost of transport and all risks of transport related directly or indirectly to the guarantee of the product; repairs done and batteries replaced by a non professional watchmaker; damage or defect due to water infiltration after repair; any damage by inappropriate use, such as sharp knocks, extreme heat, cold or magnetic fields.

The watch resists immersion in water: swimming is allowed, but no diving. An annual control of the sealing gaskets is recommended. Make sure that the crown is pushed into place and that the crystal is in good condition before making any contact with water. Like any object, your watch is affected by dust, perspiration, pool and sea water. Clean your watch with a soft cloth. Never use hot water for cleaning. Have a professional watch repair service replace the battery. Always explicitly ask to check the water resistance. Keep records of all replacements and repairs.

PRIVACY POLICY

Fjordson as a Belgian company, applies the “The Law of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data”.

Fjordson declares to abide by the European General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 with this Privacy Policy.

Fjordson takes responsibility for the processing of your personal data.

SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. 

• Your name, family name and address is used to deliver your order to your indicated shipping location and contact person - with the legal basis: for the execution of the sales agreement
• Your email address and mobile phone number is used to inform you of the order and shipping statuses and/or to reply on your contact inquiries. With your explicit permission, we may also send you emails about our store, new products and other updates (email marketing - if applicable) - with the legal basis: prior, explicit consent and/or legitimate interest (existing customers)
• When you browse our store, we also receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address via cookies in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system to give you a better shopping experience in our store - with the legal basis: prior, explicit consent

How do you get my permission?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply the necessity to perform a contract for collecting this information and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your explicit consent.

How do I withdraw my consent?
If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at contact@fjordson.com.

If you want to know which details are being processed, you can contact us at contact@fjordson.com. You have the right to receive this information within 30 days. 

SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

A “cookie” is a small text file that is sent from the server of Fjordson and is stored on your computer’s hard drive. This way we can remember your preferences when visiting our Website. The information stored through these cookies can only be read by Fjordson and only for the duration of your visit to the Website.
