Where are Fjordson Watches made?

Fjordson Watches is based in Belgium and has production facilities in Switzerland. Each watch is made in Switzerland to ensure the highest quality. Rigorous quality checks are performed throughout the entire production and assembly process.

What is the meaning of the "Swiss made" label?

The label "Swiss made" can only be used under strict conditions and supervision of the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH.

Watch manufacturers can only use the label if all of the following conditions are fulfilled:

  • At least 60% of the production costs of a watch taken as a whole must be Swiss-based
  • The movement must contain at least 50% Swiss-made components in value (not in quantity)
  • At least 60% of the movement's production must be generated in Switzerland

Fjordson Watches is compliant with these conditions. All watches are made, assembled and inspected in Switzerland. Therefore, all our watch dials and back casings have the "Swiss made" label embossed. 

Some watch brands carry a "Swiss movement" or "Swiss movt" label. Bear in mind that this is not the same as the strictly regulated "Swiss made" label. These labels indicate that only (part of) the movement is made in Switzerland and not the entire watch.

Are all watch straps vegan?

Yes, we're very proud to say Fjordson Watches is a PETA-Approved Vegan company. All nato straps are crafted with high-quality nylon for increased comfort and durability. All eco-leather straps are crafted with premium synthetic fabric.

Is a Fjordson watch waterproof?

Fjordson watches are water resistant up to 3ATM (30 meters/100 feet). The watches resist immersion in water, ideally for swimming. We advise not to dive with the watches. Always make sure that the crown is pushed into place and that the crystal is in good condition before making any contact with water.

How can I order?

You can select the products that you want on the collection page. Once you have selected your products, we'll ask your address and shipment information. After this step, you can pay with credit card (Visa and MasterCard) or PayPal. 
Once the payment is received, you will receive a confirmation email.

    Payments are possible via:

    Do you ship to my country?

    Yes, international shipping is included in all orders.

    Is tax included in the price?

    Where you've requested delivery to a EU address, the price paid for the product and the delivery service will include BE 21% VAT.

    Where you're not a EU resident and you've ordered a Fjordson watch to a non-EU address, both the products and the delivery service will normally be zero-rated, with no EU VAT chargeable on either. However, the price paid by you for the products and delivery services will remain the same as shown on the website.

    Please note: non-EU customers may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of such import duties and taxes. Please note that Fjordson Watches has no control over these charges and, since they are different for different countries, we cannot predict their amount unfortunately. We advise customers to contact their local customs office for further information.

    What shipping method do you use?

    We send registered packages with track and trace. You receive a track and trace code by e-mail once the order leaves our HQ. All our shipments are carbon neutral. Projects that offset the emissions of the shipment's transport are supported, like reforestation, landfill gas destruction, wastewater treatment and methane destruction.

    How long will it take to receive my order?

    The delivery time will depend on where you live. We anticipate for your order to be with you between the following times:

    • Express shipping: 1 - 3 business days 
    • Standard shipping: 3 - 10 business days 
    Fjordson Watches cannot be held responsible for any delays that may affect this timeline in your country, such as queues at customs, holidays, postal strikes or adverse weather conditions.
    I haven’t received confirmation of my order, help!

    The order confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address that you entered when ordering. If you can’t find it, please check your spam box and if it’s nowhere to be seen, please email contact@fjordson.com with your details.

    Can I cancel my order?

    If you’ve already paid, there is unfortunately no possibility to cancel your order. As soon as you’ve received your order, you can of course make use of your right of revocation and send the products back to us. If you’ve chosen bank transfer as your method of payment, but haven’t transfered the amount yet, we can still cancel your order. In this case please fill out our contact form here.

    How do I return items?

    You can revocate Fjordson products, that you’ve ordered in our online shop within 14 days after receiving the order. Inform us about your revocation by filling out the contact form here. Please send the products back within 14 days.

    As soon as we’ve received your return, we will refund the amount via the same payment method you’ve used. Please be aware, that the return costs are borne by the buyer and we don’t cover them in case of revocation.

    What's your warranty policy?

    All watches are guaranteed against all manufacturing defects for a period of 2 years from the date of the original purchase. During the guarantee period, the repair will be free of charge for labour and parts, if the technical service accepts the defective part to be a result of a manufacturing fault.
