Fjordson as a Belgian company, applies the “law of December 8, 1992 on Privacy Protection in relation to the Processing of Personal Data” as modified by the “law of December 11, 1998” and by the “law of June 13, 2005 on electronic communications”.

Fjordson declares to abide by the European General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 with this Privacy Policy.

SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

• Your name, family name and addressis used to deliver your order to your indicated shipping location and contact person - with the legal basis: for the execution of the sales agreement
• Your email address and mobile phone numberis used to inform you of the order and shipping statuses and/or to reply on your contact inquiries. With your explicit permission, we may also send you emails about our store, new products and other updates (email marketing - if applicable) - with the legal basis: prior, explicit consent and/or legitimate interest (existing customers)

How do you get my consent?

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

A “cookie” is a small text file that is sent from the server of Fjordson and is stored on your computer’s hard drive. This way we can remember your preferences when visiting our Website. The information stored through these cookies can only be read by Fjordson and only for the duration of your visit to the Website.

• _shopify_visit, no data held - Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits.
• _shopify_uniq, no data held - Expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.
• cart, unique token - Persistent for 2 weeks, Stores information about the contents of your cart.
• _secure_session_id, unique token, sessional
• storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite - If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.
• _ga, Google Analytics - Used to track visitor statistics for site optimizations

SECTION 10 - DURATION

We will store and process your personal data during the period necessary depending on the purposes of the processing as well as depending on the contractual relationship between you and Fjordson.

• Personal data for email marketing:only with explicit permission or 3 years after the last order
• Invoicing data: due to legal accounting obligations (Belgium), the data is stored 10 years after the invoicing date
• Customer data: 3 years after the last order
